Home Tour Part 13: The Dining Room/Foyer

How is it already part 13 of my home bout?

Sadly, information technology's only taken me shut to two years to get virtually the whole house featured on this dwelling tour, but already sharing function 13, just seems crazy!

I'll Admit: My husband and I take been because putting this house up for sale, and building on another lot that we own. (For no other reason than… it'southward just what we do. We take moved 5 times in the last 3 years, living in this firm for 2 of those… and that's the longest we've always lived in one. So we are starting to become the "itch," to do something. Yes, I know. Nosotros are probably insane.)

 Modern Craftsman Dining Room

Oh yeah. That'southward an elk on the wall.

Gals: Unfortunately this elk is modest compared to the one in our living room. But this 1 hangs over us while we consume our dinner, and stares at me. I love my husband. I'll simply go on telling myself that.

Men:  Did you come across this matter? Information technology's huge! My manly man of a husband is crazy talented in hunting big game. Information technology looks perfect in the dining room. Don't you remember?

(Aye, I totally played both sides in that location.)

For Better or For Worse…

Oh yeah. At that place's the full affair. You can kind of see the other elk in the living area, through the doorway at that place. See it? Aye, that's merely the very bottom of information technology. I dear my husband.

Dining Room Decor

Cabinets

Our original house program didn't telephone call for cabinets in the dining room. But with my addiction to block stands, and entertaining, we knew we better make a change. The storage we have with these cabinets is crazy fabled. Don't ask me to open them. You may start searching for a "cake stand obsessed," support grouping to admit me to. #cakestandaddict

Office or Formal Dining Room?

The dining room is off to the left when yous walk in our front door. We considered turning this room in to an role in the beginning, because we weren't sure if nosotros would utilize the formal dining room. Male child am I glad we decided on a dining room. Nosotros entertain A LOT, and this room comes in super handy.

Clocks are Easy

I MAY have a slight addiction to clocks too. I didn't realize it until my sisters pointed it out to me on a recent girls shopping trip. I accept three clock in my dining room alone. #clockaddict

This stool. The poor stool. I found it on sale at Target and HAD to have information technology. Merely I didn't accept a place for it. I just couldn't stand up going home without it. And so here it sits.

A Personal Affect

My mom made this beautiful piddling "B," for me! (Isn't she but "Miss Pinterest!?")  I absolutely adore it. It couldn't have went more perfect with our decor. I but hope the "B" stands for my last name, and not something else. 😉

Modern Craftsman Foyer

Here's a shot of our foyer. I decided to include this in on the dining room abode tour, considering… well frankly… the foyer isn't big enough to host it'south own mail service.

I accept a coat rack shelf that I desire to hang to a higher place the little bench, just I need a handyman to exercise that… and well… I wanted to share the dining room with you earlier we moved. Lol! (In other words… the coat rack may never get hung if I'm waiting for someone else to do it.)
